ELIZABETH LATELLA

SCULPTURE
These sculptures are made of plaster, hydrastone, cement, and oil based clay. The relief sculptures of my sister and I are created by taking 180 degrees of photographs, sculpting from photographs, and finally casting a mold. Other sculptures are molds of my family member's hands which are created with alginate, a safe seaweed based material, and hydrastone. Hydrastone is a durable form of plaster which it meant to last through time.
